As a parent....how do YOU feel about trampolines?

my daughter broke her arm really just a hair above the elbow about 5 years ago.

her arm isn't the same after having pins in it.

now my oldest daughter has been going over to a friends house and doing back flips (as if she's a pro) on the dumb thing.

I think they are great: they cause the need for a lot of the research going into spinal injury repair and those folks need jobs, too......

V PS: My little one does not, will not, have one of these things....just an opinion.

every once in awhile people will get choked with each other and name call..usually it`s not that creative..sh*thead..assh*le..ect..then there`s my favorites like hillary_step..that guy can insult an idiot and it`s unlikely the person will ever get it..lol!

or is it that you have been repressed for to long ?

You are correct: there is as wide a range of "spiritual expression" on this board as one could hope to see. For those visiting this site, from the standpoint of an exiting or considering exiting viewpoint, this is a good thing. A great many people exiting the WT are, for the FIRST TIME in thier lives, using thier God given Free Wheel and, as a result, are "all over the place" in what to do with it.

Me, I am a Christian. True, a new Christian and I offer the thoughts of one in that dynamic. I will resist an exJW that is totally against the idea of God at all: however, I just state my case. In this way the "lurkers" can view two opions expressed with open honesty. This allows them the thought that they are free to explore differing viewpoints and opinions without lightning striking them.

Many people here have been horribly, terribly, well.....screwed over. They are angry and need to work it out, vent. That is great, too. They have fellows that understand, completely.

We, here, are all "in Journey." We are at different places in that road. God is patient. We need to be, also. With each other and self....the latter is the most difficult.

I would sugest you continue to post and read other's posts. I have the option, over the next week, to try and locate a "hot chick" and shag her and pay for it by stealing my nieghbor's chickens and selling them at the local farmer's market. It would, no doubt, be exciting. However, my plans are to stay faithful to my Dear Wife, be as good a daddy to our little five year old as I can, be a good neighbor....you know....all the "Christian stuff."

Some, here, WILL find a hot chick ( or guy, or both.....), shag them and, maybe, tell about it.

Am I going to condem them? No. For now, that is where they are and that is what they are doing TODAY. If I enter the Kingdom, I will see many of these people, THEN, enter far ahead of this old hillbilly.

It is Journey, Munk. Enjoy the views that pass your way. Enjoy the company. These are some real cool folks, here. Smile over the stories, if you are a Christian: keep them in your prayers: I do.

Another news story today on abuse settlements...

a friend of mr f heard a story on kfbk sacramento radio news a little after 8 this am...3 people in woodland ca received their settlement money, and 7,000 others have come forward with accusations.

i can't find it anywhere - does anyone know about this?

Somewhere....I only read this once: the WT said before the fall of Jeruselem to the Romans in 70 (one of the few things they have correct...) ALL the Apostals had left. This was, also, before the Exodus in 67. The article was dealing with the fact as I remember, that the GB were Mosaic Law Kieeping Jews. These two facts, as far as I ever read, were in this one article. These admissions lead to so many questions about this "GB:"

Did their authority supersede that of the Apostals?

Where did they go when they left Jeruselem?

The WT admits the Congregations were for the most part non-apostate at least until 200: Why is there not ONE mention of this GB in any Christian writings.

It just goes on and on.......

So if you find anything, thank you.

I had to work later than usuall shift and did not get home, last night until after three in the morning. Our daughter, Leah, has a dance studio. This was her first year in business. The studio had it's first recital for parents and friends and I went in work late in order to help with this event. It went well. Leah is an excellent teacher: especially adult ballroom.

how did being referred to as a brother or sister make you feel?the term brother always reminded me of being in some militant or holy roller religion.

during my tenure as a jehovahs witness, i brought it to the elders attention to refer to .

me by using my first or last name when addressing me.

But here is a much better title: Apostate.

When I am refered to as an "Apostate" I go all glow-eeee inside...a warm snuggle feeling like a shot of Jameson, but, better, like so, so much better....the best....no better than best.....

This is not the comment I was thinking of, however, it is the same thing. I must have read a similar comment in a late eighties or early nineties WT. Thank you.

The idea is this: the Org. is beyond judgement. That is why the JWs support it as "it" is the only stable thing on the face of the planet. This positive judgement, once for all, allows any type of behavior imaginable.

I am interested in finding the other comment for this reason: Since the {suppossed] GB functioning in Jeruselem, pre destruction and post exiting of the Apostals, was the "central command" the question is this: Did the composite authority of the GB exceed that of the Apostalic authority of the scattered Apostals?

I would LOVE to debate a JW Elder head on about this whole "goverance of the First Century Congregation" now that I have my ducks in a row.
